This is the view from my flat. Toilet window actually.
These are the most important things in my life. Sleep, eat and shit.
Have you ever tried to wash your hands in ice cold water? Your hands will experience pain really quickly before the numbing effect kicks in. Now.. Try to shower in that. The freaking heater in my toilet is UNSTABLE. One minute it shoots boiling water, the next moment it stabs me with the icy water. If this was japan, I would say it's those saunas that people enjoying going for. NOT HERE IN FREAKING WINTER! I will scream in vulgarities that my room mates cant understand (Finland and Russia guys)!
Every shower is an ordeal. I used boiled water so that I have mix it with the icy water to give me warm water. Brrrr....
The house has 3 levels. I'm on the top floor with the nicest view, but the coldest part of the house as well. As a Singaporean, I was unable to let my physical body quickly adapt to the cold. Every window SHOULD have a heat radiator below it. But my room has 2 windows and one unreliable heater that needs alot of praising and flattery before it is willing to work.
Do you know that if you are feeling really cold, sitting on a warm radiator feels so good. The butt loves the heat more that you realise!
The 2 freaky European boys in my flat have -25 degrees celsius in their countries. So they always laugh at me when they see me freeze in the morning ( your body temperature goes way down when u sleep, so waking up is the most painful part of the day).
Now for the top 10 accidents
1) Burnt my bed
2) Burnt my carpets
3) Burnt a pot (Spend a whole afternoon scrubbing it off, thank you)
4) Set the fire alarm off
5) Cut my thumb
6) Shave skin off with a potato peeler
7) Locked myself out of my house
8) Walk into a pillar (it was short, dark and the freaking useless bitch who was holding my arm siam it so that I crash into it)
9) Bang my head of the side of wall. ( the inner side of the roof of the house is my wall, so it's slanted)
10)Will not say
Other than that, I'm fine. =)
Germany is a beautiful place. It's cold and the days are short.
